Overview

The Middle Atlantic G4047BR is a 2-gang steel wall plate in gray, configured with one duplex outlet opening and one rectangular opening — a practical choice for cable management and raceway installations where you need to terminate both power and low-voltage connections at the same faceplate. The G4047BR is TAA-compliant, making it appropriate for federal and government-funded projects subject to the Trade Agreements Act. The dual-opening layout saves a gang position versus running separate single-gang plates, which matters in densely populated rack or in-wall installations.

Compatibility

Designed to fit standard 2-gang electrical boxes and compatible with the Middle Atlantic raceway and cord cover system lineup, including their steel raceway channels and surface-mount boxes. The duplex opening accepts standard Decora-style or traditional duplex receptacle inserts; the rectangular opening accommodates low-voltage keystones, brush inserts, or similar modular inserts for structured wiring, AV signal, or data pass-through. Verify insert dimensions against the rectangular cutout before specifying non-standard modules — Middle Atlantic publishes cutout dimensions on their product family page. Color is gray, matching standard Middle Atlantic steel raceway finishes for a consistent installation appearance.

Installation Notes

Mount to a standard 2-gang electrical box using the box's existing screw pattern. The G4047BR ships as a plate only — outlet inserts, keystones, and mounting hardware for the box itself are sourced separately. Shipping weight is light (boxed at 7.5" x 5.5" x 5.5"), so it's practical to order multiples per project. Canadian certification is not included; specify accordingly if the installation is in a Canadian jurisdiction requiring CSA-listed components.
