Overview

The Middle Atlantic CWR-12-30SD4 is a 12RU steel wall-mount swing-out rack designed for network closets, IDF rooms, and AV equipment installations where floor space is at a premium and front-plus-rear access to equipment is required. The swing-out design lets the entire cabinet pivot away from the wall, giving you unrestricted rear access to cabling and patch panels without pulling equipment. At 26 inches deep with 24 inches of usable depth and a 200 lb UL-rated load capacity, the CWR-12-30SD4 handles dense switch and patch panel builds without flexing. The 4-inch deep solid door provides physical security while keeping the install profile clean in public-facing areas such as lobbies, classrooms, and retail environments. TAA compliant and GREENGUARD certified — relevant for government projects and LEED-tracked facilities.

Compatibility

Accepts any standard 19-inch (48.3 cm) EIA-310 rackmount equipment up to 12RU. The 12-24 threaded rack rails are compatible with the full range of Middle Atlantic rack accessories, including cable management panels, blanking panels, and brush-entry grommet kits. Suitable for mounting 1U–4U network switches, patch panels, fiber enclosures, small NVRs, and AV distribution equipment. The 24-inch usable depth accommodates full-depth 1U switches and most 2U appliances — verify your deepest component clears 24 inches before specifying. Works with standard M6 cage nuts and 12-24 rack screws; no proprietary fasteners required.

Installation Notes

Shipping weight is 123 lbs (55.8 kg); plan for two-person installation and verify wall-stud or blocking capacity before mounting — the cabinet plus a full 200 lb load puts significant point load on the wall substrate. The swing-out pivot requires adequate clearance in front of the cabinet equal to at least the cabinet depth (26 inches) to allow full rotation. Mount to solid blocking or at minimum two 16-inch-on-center studs using appropriately rated lag hardware.
