Overview

The D16WHUM24TB is a wall-mounted hybrid DVR built for on-premise surveillance deployments where you need a self-contained system with minimal rack footprint. It combines a 16-channel recording engine, integrated display, and 24TB storage in a single unit—eliminating the need for separate NVR, monitor, and external storage procurement. Each channel accepts either HD-TVI coaxial or IP input, so you can migrate from analog to IP without replacing hardware. The 24TB internal capacity handles extended retention for mid-size installations (retail chains, multi-building campuses, warehouse clusters) running mixed analog and IP camera inventories.

Compatibility

Accepts up to 8MP video from HD-TVI cameras over coaxial cable and standard ONVIF-compliant IP cameras via dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. The unit supports H.264 compression across all 16 channels, with configurable recording modes: continuous, motion-triggered, sensor-activated, scheduled, and manual. Networkable via free US-based Speco DDNS service for remote access and configuration. Compatible with Google Drive for automated event video upload. Output options include HDMI, VGA, and composite (Main, Spot, Looping) for flexible display integration.

Installation Notes

Wall-mounted design requires standard 19-inch horizontal surface or reinforced wall bracket (not included in base package). The unit provides four internal SATA ports supporting up to 40TB total capacity; the D16WHUM24TB ships with 24TB pre-installed. An eSATA port enables hot-swap external storage for backup or expanded retention. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow you to separate camera traffic from LAN/internet traffic, reducing bandwidth contention. Ensure adequate ventilation clearance around intake and exhaust areas for thermal management during continuous recording cycles.
