Description

Altronix MAXIMAL3V Concise Descriptor

Overview

The Altronix MAXIMAL3V is a versatile power distribution unit designed to provide 12VDC or 24VDC output at a combined 6A, with 16 individually fused outputs. This unit is engineered for applications requiring reliable, distributed power for multiple low-voltage devices, such as IP cameras, access control readers, or network equipment. Its selectable output voltage and fused protection make it a robust choice for centralizing power delivery in commercial installations.

Compatibility

This power distribution unit is compatible with a wide range of low-voltage surveillance and security devices requiring either 12VDC or 24VDC input. It is suitable for powering systems that draw up to 6A total, distributed across its 16 fused outputs. Specific compatible device families include, but are not limited to, most standard IP cameras, IR illuminators, video encoders, and access control panels that operate within these voltage and current parameters.

Installation Notes

The MAXIMAL3V requires a 220VAC input. Each of the 16 outputs is protected by a user-replaceable fuse, allowing for isolation of faults and simplified troubleshooting. The unit supports selectable 12VDC or 24VDC output, requiring careful configuration based on the connected devices' power requirements. Ensure the total current draw does not exceed the 6A maximum for the unit. Proper grounding is essential for safe operation.
