Overview
The Altronix MAXIMAL3V is a versatile power distribution unit designed to provide reliable 12VDC or 24VDC power to multiple surveillance devices. It offers 16 fused outputs, each individually protected, ensuring that a fault on one output does not affect others. This unit is ideal for installations requiring centralized power management for cameras, access control readers, or other low-voltage security equipment, supporting up to 6A total output current. The MAXIMAL3V is built for commercial environments where consistent power and system supervision are critical.
Compatibility
This unit is designed for use with low-voltage DC powered devices. It accepts a wide input voltage range of 198VAC to 256VAC at 50/60Hz, making it suitable for most standard commercial power grids. The output voltage can be configured for either 12VDC or 24VDC. It is compatible with a variety of security and surveillance devices that draw up to 5A per output (3.5A fuse) or 5.4A at 24VDC, and a total of 6A across all outputs. The unit also provides a 2.5A auxiliary power output and a 0.7A battery charger current for backup power systems.
Installation Notes
The MAXIMAL3V requires a 220VAC input power source. It features 16 individually fused outputs, with each output fuse rated at 3.5 amp/250V. The enclosure dimensions are 26” x 19” x 6.25” (660.4mm x 482.6mm x 158.75mm), requiring adequate space for mounting and wiring. The unit supports up to four 12AH batteries for backup power. Supervision features include AC fail, low battery, and battery presence, all with Form C relay outputs for integration into alarm systems.
