Overview
The BMF-FAN10 is a 10-inch, 120 VAC active rack fan rated at 825 CFM — designed to move enough air through a fully loaded AV or network enclosure to prevent thermal shutdown on amplifiers, recorders, and switching equipment running continuous duty cycles. At 825 CFM, this is a high-volume unit: that airflow rating translates to meaningful temperature drops in sealed or semi-sealed enclosures where passive convection alone cannot keep pace with multi-unit heat loads. The BMF-FAN10 ships with cord and hardware included, so it installs without a separate parts order.
Compatibility
The BMF-FAN10 is designed for Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and equipment cabinets — specifically the BMF (Bulk Media Fan) product family. It fits Middle Atlantic's standard rack cabinet and credenza enclosure lines where a 10-inch fan cutout is present. Verify your enclosure's fan bay opening dimensions (10 in × 10 in) and available 120 VAC service before ordering. This is an AC-powered active fan; it is not compatible with DC fan controller slots or enclosures wired exclusively for 12 VDC fan systems. Note that a fan controller is not included — speed control requires a separately sourced Middle Atlantic fan controller if variable-speed operation is needed.
Installation Notes
Power draw is 120 VAC; confirm your enclosure's internal power strip or outlet can accommodate the fan's cord before installation. Fan orientation (intake vs. exhaust) should align with the enclosure's designed airflow path — front-to-back or bottom-to-top depending on cabinet model. The unit ships with mounting hardware; no additional fasteners are required for standard Middle Atlantic fan bay installations. This product is not available for international shipment.
