Overview
The Panduit UTPSP10VLY is a 10-foot, violet Category 6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) patch cord designed for high-performance data network connections. Constructed with 24 AWG stranded copper conductors and CM-rated jacket, it meets the demands of modern networks, including Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over limited distances. Its tangle-free latch on the connector simplifies installation and removal in high-density environments, streamlining network maintenance and upgrades. This cable is rated for PoE++ (802.3bt), ensuring sufficient power delivery for compatible network devices without requiring separate power supplies.
Compatibility
This patch cord is backward compatible with Cat5e and supports applications including 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 10GBASE-T Ethernet. It is also suitable for ATM, Token Ring, and digital video applications. The cable meets ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 5e and ISO 11801 Class D standards. It is rated for 2500 connect/disconnect cycles and IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at and 802.3bt type 3 and type 4 power delivery.
Installation Notes
The connector features a patented tangle-free latch that prevents snags and ensures a fast release, aiding in quick moves, adds, and changes. A slender strain relief boot provides easy access in high-density switch and patch panel configurations. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate simple port mapping when used with RapidID software.
