The Wasp 633808121280 is a PS2 connection cable designed for the WLS9500 and WPS150 barcode scanner lines. This is the OEM cable that connects your scanner to a PS2 keyboard port on a host terminal, POS system, or industrial computer. Use this when you need to replace a damaged or worn PS2 cable, or when provisioning a new scanner installation without a cable kit.
Compatible with Wasp WLS9500 mobile computers and Wasp WPS150 hand-held scanners. The PS2 connector terminates to a standard 6-pin PS/2 port, so it will work with any host device (POS register, industrial PC, warehouse terminal) that provides a PS/2 keyboard input. Do not use this cable with USB-based scanners or modern systems that lack a dedicated PS/2 port — verify your host device has a PS/2 input before ordering.
Plug the PS/2 connector into the keyboard port on your host device. No drivers are required — PS/2 scanners enumerate as standard HID keyboard devices. Ensure the cable has adequate slack during installation to avoid strain on the connector. If your scanner or host device powers down unexpectedly during use, verify that the cable is fully seated; loose PS/2 connections can cause intermittent data loss.
