Description

ACTi 003-0094-00 VHB Removal Tool

Overview

The ACTi 003-0094-00 is a VHB (Very High Bond) removal tool designed to safely separate camera mounts and fixtures bonded with VHB adhesive tape. VHB is a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive commonly used in ACTi dome and compact camera installations where drilling or mechanical fastening is not feasible. If you need to relocate or service a camera without damaging the mounting surface—drywall, composite panels, or finished walls—this tool prevents surface tears and adhesive residue by applying controlled mechanical separation force.

Compatibility

Use this tool with any ACTi camera or mounting accessory installed via VHB adhesive bonding. Verify your camera is mounted using VHB before applying this tool; check your installation documentation or the mount base itself for VHB labeling.

Installation Notes

Insert the tool between the camera mount base and the mounting surface at a shallow angle. Apply steady, even pressure to gradually separate the adhesive bond. Work around all edges of the mount—do not pry aggressively from a single point, as this risks surface damage. Once separated, residual adhesive may remain; use isopropyl alcohol or an adhesive remover on a cloth to clean the surface. Test on an inconspicuous area first if the mounting surface finish is delicate.
