Overview

The Unitech SL220-VMU0G0-SG is a tethered 2D barcode scanner sled built for iOS integration in field service, asset tracking, and inventory workflows. USB-C connection pairs the device directly to your iPhone or iPad without draining its battery — the internal 1150mAh battery powers the scanner independently. IP65 rating means dust and water splash won't disable the unit on a wet dock or muddy warehouse floor. A red laser aiming element and white LED illumination handle both tight and ambient lighting, from dimly-lit storage areas to direct sunlight (100,000 lux capable).

Compatibility

The SL220-VMU0G0-SG is designed for iOS 15 or later devices with USB-C connectors. It functions as a wired peripheral — your mobile device supplies control commands over USB, but the sled's internal battery runs the optical engine, eliminating the typical 4–6 hour battery drain you'd see from a wireless handheld scanner. If your workflow requires Android or legacy iOS connector types, this is not the unit — Unitech offers Lightning-connector variants for older iPads.

Installation Notes

The sled mounts in a cradle (dimensions 142×96×95 mm) that secures your device vertically during scanning. The scanner itself measures 125×64×27 mm and weighs 102g — compact enough for one-handed operation or counter mounting. Two scan keys are built into the housing for trigger control. The mechanical trigger switch is rated for 1 million actuations, suitable for continuous daily scanning. No external power supply required — charge the internal battery via USB-C when docked.
