Overview

The Black Box LPJ016A-T-R2 is a single-port PoE+ injector designed to provide reliable power to network devices over standard Ethernet cabling. This unit is ideal for deploying IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones in locations where a PoE-capable switch is not readily available or where existing infrastructure needs an upgrade. It simplifies installation by eliminating the need for local AC power outlets at the device location, consolidating power delivery through the network cable.

Compatibility

This injector is compatible with any IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) compliant network device. It delivers up to 30W of power per port, suitable for powering devices such as:

• High-resolution IP security cameras requiring more than standard PoE (802.3af) power.
• Wireless access points (WAPs) that utilize PoE+ for operation.
• VoIP phones with advanced features or integrated switches.
• Other network-attached devices that specify PoE+ power requirements.

It functions as a midspan device, meaning it injects power onto the Ethernet cable between your existing non-PoE switch and the end device.

Installation Notes

Connect the injector's data input port to your network switch using an Ethernet cable. Connect the injector's PoE output port to your end device using another Ethernet cable. The LPJ016A-T-R2 requires a standard AC power outlet to operate. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the injector and the outlet. The unit is designed for indoor use in a controlled environment.
