Overview

The Zebra CBL-TC7X-DEX1-01 is a snap-on cable designed to provide Direct Exchange (DEX) communication capabilities for Zebra TC7X series mobile computers. This accessory is essential for scenarios requiring data transfer between the mobile computer and other devices or systems that utilize the DEX protocol, commonly found in retail inventory management and point-of-sale environments. It attaches directly to the I/O connectors on the rear of the TC7X device, enabling seamless integration without requiring complex setup.

Compatibility

This cable is specifically designed for the Zebra TC7X series mobile computers. It connects to the I/O connectors on the rear of these devices. For DEX communication, it requires the TC7X to be equipped with a compatible battery, such as the BTRY-TC7X-46MA2-01 or BTRY-TC7X-46MA2-10. It also requires external power via the PWRS-14000-249R power supply, sold separately, to facilitate DEX communication.

Installation Notes

The CBL-TC7X-DEX1-01 snaps onto the I/O connectors at the bottom rear of the Zebra TC7X mobile computer. Ensure the mobile computer is powered off before connecting or disconnecting the cable. For operation, an external power source (PWRS-14000-249R) must be connected to the cable, as the cable itself does not provide power to the mobile computer for DEX communication.
