Overview

The STI KIT-E02111PCB Stopper Station Shield is a protective cover designed to prevent false fire alarms and protect devices like manual call points from vandalism, tampering, and environmental damage. Its robust polycarbonate construction fits over existing devices, and when lifted for access, an optional integral battery-powered sounder emits a piercing 120 dB alarm, drawing immediate attention and deterring pranksters. This unit is specifically suited for larger, weather-exposed devices.

Compatibility

This Stopper Station Shield is designed for use with larger manual call points and similar devices that require protection from the elements and potential misuse. It is intended for use with the STI-1250 and STI-3150 Weather Stopper II models, providing an additional layer of protection and an audible deterrent.

Installation Notes

Installation involves positioning the frame centrally over the device to be protected and marking four fixing holes. A 7mm masonry drill bit is recommended for drilling. The frame is then secured to the wall using the provided fixings. For surface installations, inserts are included to blank off unused cable entry holes. Appropriate cable gaskets should be selected based on the wiring system installed.
