STI STI-1102 Replacement Sounder Unit

Overview

The STI-1102 is a battery-powered sounder replacement component for the Stopper II electronic door control system. When the Stopper II frame is lifted (to access the protected device such as a manual call point or break glass), the sounder emits a 120dB audible alarm — loud enough to draw immediate attention and deter casual tampering or false activation. Operating at 9VDC, it integrates directly into existing Stopper II installations as a drop-in replacement when the original sounder unit fails or requires service.

Compatibility

This sounder unit is engineered specifically for the Stopper II protective frame system. It replaces the integral sounder assembly in Stopper II door control and fire alarm protective enclosures. Confirm your device is a Stopper II (physically larger than the Weather Stopper) before ordering — this unit is not compatible with the smaller Stopper or Weather Stopper variants.

Installation Notes

The STI-1102 is installed as an integral component within the Stopper II frame assembly. Frame mounting uses four fixing holes secured with the wall fixings provided; use a 7mm masonry drill bit for installation into masonry or concrete. The sounder draws power from the 9VDC supply already provisioned in the Stopper II enclosure — no additional wiring is required beyond the frame itself. Ensure the protective frame is positioned centrally over the device to be protected and that all cable entry gaskets are properly seated to maintain environmental sealing.
