STI STI-6402 Multifunction Door Alarm for Double Door
Overview
The STI-6402 is a standalone door alarm designed to detect and alert on unauthorized entry or exit through emergency exits, back doors, or any double-door opening. It combines visual and audible alarm output—choose between siren (105 dB or 95 dB selectable) or chime mode (10-beep sequence)—and supports up to 32 doors on a single system. The STI-6402 mounts above, beside, or adjacent to the door frame and requires no integration with a central control panel, making it cost-effective for facilities adding egress monitoring without rewiring. Alarm duration in exit mode runs 30 seconds, 3 minutes, or indefinite (until manually disarmed with supplied key or battery depletion).
Compatibility
The STI-6402 works standalone—no proprietary reader, credential system, or access control platform required. It pairs naturally with existing door hardware (standard frames, panic bars, push-to-exit buttons) and does not depend on electrified locks or strike devices. Use it to supplement existing access control systems by adding passive alarm coverage to emergency exits, loading docks, or secondary doors where coordinated locking is not needed. The device is entirely independent; wiring it to a central VMS or access control software is not part of the specification.
Installation Notes
Mount the unit in any orientation (top, right, left, or adjacent to the door opening). Operating temperature range: 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F); not rated for outdoor exposure. Power via 9 VDC alkaline battery (approximately 2-year life at less than 15 microamp draw) or hardwired 12–24 VDC supply for permanent deployments. Polycarbonate housing resists impact and vandalism; three-year manufacturer warranty covers the enclosure, one-year covers internal electronics under normal use. Unit dimensions: 137 mm × 137 mm × 51 mm (5.4" × 5.4" × 2.0").
