Description

QNAP TRAY-25-NK-BLK05 Keyless 2.5" SSD Drive Tray

Overview

The TRAY-25-NK-BLK05 is a black plastic, keyless, tool-less drive tray designed to seat 2.5" SSDs or hard drives in compatible QNAP NAS enclosures. If you're expanding storage capacity, replacing a lost or damaged tray, or populating empty bays during a NAS build-out, this is the correct replacement unit — no screwdriver required for drive installation, and no key lock mechanism to manage in multi-user rack environments where keyed trays create unnecessary friction.

Compatibility

This tray is specifically designed for QNAP NAS systems that accept 2.5" hot-swap or tool-less drive trays in the standard QNAP bay format. Compatible enclosures include select models from the TS-series, TVS-series, and TES-series NAS lines that ship with or support the 2.5" tray form factor — verify your NAS model's tray specification in the QNAP compatibility list before ordering, as bay formats differ between 2.5" and 3.5" enclosures. This tray is not interchangeable with QNAP's 3.5" tray variants or keyed-lock tray models. If your deployment requires physical drive security (keyed access), select the keyed variant instead.

Installation Notes

Tool-less installation: the 2.5" drive mounts directly into the tray without screws in supported configurations — confirm your drive's dimensions meet standard 2.5" SSD/HDD spec (7mm or 9.5mm z-height as supported by your NAS model). The keyless design means the tray latch releases without a physical key, which simplifies hot-swap operations in storage-dense deployments but offers no physical lock-out protection. Black finish matches standard QNAP chassis aesthetics. For NAS enclosure builds requiring populated bays from the start, order tray quantity equal to planned drive count.
