Overview

The FD-24 is a solid steel front door from Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic rack accessories line, purpose-built to close out the front of 24-space open-frame rack enclosures. At 42.87 in. tall and 20.04 in. wide, it adds a finished, secure front face to racks deployed in wiring closets, server rooms, and AV equipment bays where you want physical access control without a full enclosed cabinet. The textured black powder-coat finish (matching standard Middle Atlantic rack aesthetics) resists scuffs in high-traffic installs. Handles are included — no separate hardware order needed for day-one operation.

Compatibility

The FD-24 is designed specifically for 24-space (24 RU) racks in the WRK and MRK series from Middle Atlantic. It mounts to the Base Series DWR frame. It is not a universal fit — verify your rack is a 24U WRK or MRK unit before ordering; the 12U, 18U, and 36U variants require their corresponding FD model. It will not fit ERK, PTRK, or BGR series frames without adapter hardware not included with this door. If you are outfitting multiple bays, confirm each rack's U count and series designation against your order before shipping.

Installation Notes

The door ships at 1.39 in. depth — account for this projection when planning clearance in front of the rack in tight telecom or AV closets. Standard Middle Atlantic hinge mounting applies; no special tools are called out in the evidence. Handles are integrated, so no separate pull hardware is required. Verify door-swing clearance (the door opens outward) against aisle width before install in dense rack rows.
