Overview

The Middle Atlantic SRK is a 12RU knockdown sloped rack designed for AV and security equipment installations where access, portability, and finished aesthetics matter. The SRK ships flat for easy transport and assembles on-site — useful when getting a pre-built rack into a finished room isn't practical. Four casters make repositioning straightforward once assembled, which matters on service calls or in spaces where equipment placement shifts. At 200 lbs rated weight capacity with a 16-inch usable depth, the SRK handles NVRs, UPS units, patch panels, and mid-density switching without marginal load concerns. The black wood grain finish integrates cleanly into boardrooms, reception areas, and control rooms where exposed metal racks would look out of place.

Compatibility

The SRK uses standard 10-32 threaded rack rails, compatible with the full range of 1U–4U rackmount equipment following EIA-310 rack unit spacing — including 1U NVRs, 1U patch panels, rackmount UPS units, and 1U/2U network switches. The 16-inch usable depth accommodates most shallow- to mid-depth 1U appliances; verify that deeper chassis (typically >14 inches of usable body length) fit within the 16-inch rail-to-rail depth before specifying. With 12 RU of usable space and an overall width of 20.38 inches, this rack is suited for small-to-mid deployments — think a 4–8 channel NVR, a PoE switch, a UPS, and a patch panel in a single enclosure. It is not intended for deep server chassis or full-density data center builds.

Installation Notes

The SRK ships as a knockdown kit at 58.9 lbs — plan for two-person assembly. Once built, overall height reaches 54.6 inches (138.7 cm); confirm ceiling clearance and door widths before delivery to finished spaces. Casters are included and allow post-assembly mobility, but lock them before loading equipment to prevent movement during rack population. Overall width of 20.38 inches is wider than a standard 19-inch rack opening — account for this in tight alcoves or furniture cutouts.
