The Middle Atlantic SP-5-21 provides 21 rack units (RU) of vertical space enclosure for your Slim 5 series racks. These vented side panels improve thermal management by facilitating airflow through the top and bottom, crucial for maintaining optimal operating temperatures for sensitive AV or IT equipment within a confined rack space. The integrated recessed lift handles simplify installation and servicing. The SP-5-21 model is specifically designed for 20-inch depth Slim 5 racks, offering a clean, finished look while adding essential ventilation and accessibility.
Compatibility
These side panels are engineered exclusively for Middle Atlantic's Slim 5 series racks with a 20-inch nominal depth. Ensure your rack chassis is part of the Slim 5 family and matches the 20-inch depth specification to guarantee a proper fit and secure mounting. They are not compatible with other rack series or depths.
Installation Notes
Each panel adds 5/8 inch to the overall width of the rack system. The panels feature internal locking clips for secure attachment to the rack frame. Recessed lift handles are integrated for easier manipulation during installation and maintenance. Vented design at top and bottom promotes passive cooling.
