Description

Vertiv VP4N30AJ-R Monitored PDU 30A 36 Combo C13/C19

Overview

The Vertiv VP4N30AJ-R is a 30A monitored power distribution unit (PDU) designed for high-density data center rack deployments. It provides granular power monitoring at the PDU level, enabling you to track total power consumption and manage your IT infrastructure's energy usage more effectively. This unit is essential for ensuring stable power delivery to critical servers, network switches, and storage arrays within a standard 19-inch rack. The VP4N30AJ-R model features a combination of 24 C13 and 12 C19 outlets, offering broad compatibility with various IT equipment power cords.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed to integrate into standard 19-inch server racks. It is compatible with Vertiv's rack systems and other standard rack enclosures. The 30A input connection requires a compatible power source or circuit breaker panel. The C13 and C19 outlets are standard IEC connectors, suitable for a wide range of IT equipment, including servers, network switches, storage devices, and other rack-mount hardware.

Installation Notes

Installation requires a qualified electrician to connect the 30A input power cord to the appropriate power source. Ensure the power source can support the PDU's maximum load capacity. The PDU is designed for vertical mounting within a 19-inch rack, typically occupying 0U or 1U of space depending on the specific rack and mounting orientation. Proper airflow management within the rack is critical to prevent overheating of connected equipment.
