Description

Vertiv 29422 Basic Descriptor

Overview

The Vertiv 29422 is a 1U rack-mountable basic power distribution unit (PDU) designed to provide reliable power to standard IT equipment. With six NEMA 5-15R outlets and a 15A/120V rating, it serves as a fundamental component for powering servers, network switches, and other rack-mounted devices in data centers or network closets. This unit is ideal for deployments where basic power distribution without advanced management features is required.

Compatibility

This PDU is compatible with standard 19-inch server racks and cabinets. It is designed to power equipment with NEMA 5-15P plugs. It integrates seamlessly into existing rack infrastructure, providing essential power outlets for devices such as Vertiv's own rack enclosures, standard rack servers, network switches, and other low-power IT hardware.

Installation Notes

The 29422 unit requires a standard 120V, 15A circuit. It mounts vertically within a 1U space in a 19-inch rack. Ensure the total load does not exceed the PDU's 15A capacity to prevent overload. The unit ships with a standard NEMA 5-15P power cord for connection to a suitable power source.
