Description

Panduit F8NNM5E5EAAM100 Fiber Optic Trunk Cable Assembly

Overview

The Panduit F8NNM5E5EAAM100 is a 100-meter (328 ft) OS2 singlemode fiber optic trunk cable assembly designed for high-density backbone connectivity in enterprise and data center environments. Featuring 432 fibers terminated with Female MTP connectors on both ends, this cable utilizes Method A polarity, ensuring proper signal path for duplex communication. The Euroclass Cca LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) riser-rated jacket makes it suitable for in-building installations where fire safety and minimal smoke emission are critical. This assembly is engineered to provide a reliable, high-capacity link for data transmission where future scalability is a priority.

Compatibility

This Panduit QuickNet™ trunk cable assembly is designed for use within Panduit's fiber optic systems and is compatible with standard MTP/MPO fiber optic transceivers and patch panels. It is suitable for integration into high-density network architectures requiring maximum fiber counts within minimal rack space. The OS2 singlemode fiber type is optimized for 10 Gbps, 40 Gbps, 100 Gbps, and higher data rates over extended distances, making it compatible with high-speed networking equipment from various manufacturers that support MTP/MPO interfaces.

Installation Notes

The cable includes pull eyes to facilitate installation through conduits or existing cable pathways. Its riser rating (Euroclass Cca) permits vertical runs between floors. Ensure proper bend radius management (minimum 20x cable diameter for loaded, 10x for unloaded) to prevent signal degradation and fiber damage. The Female MTP connectors require mating with Male MTP connectors or patch panels. Standard IL (Insertion Loss) is maintained across the 100-meter length.
