Description

Panduit F92RLU2U2ONM027 OS2 2F 2MM PC LSZH LC APC Uniboot Cable

Overview

The Panduit F92RLU2U2ONM027 is a 27-meter (88.6 ft) OS2 singlemode fiber optic patch cable featuring LC Duplex connectors with APC polish. Its Uniboot design simplifies cable management by using a single cable jacket for both fibers, while the Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) construction offers enhanced safety in enclosed spaces. This cable is engineered for high-speed data transmission in environments where reliability and rapid deployment are critical.

Compatibility

This cable is designed for use in data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas. It connects standard LC Duplex interfaces on network equipment such as switches, routers, and transceivers. The OS2 (9/125µm) fiber type is backward compatible with OM1, OM2, OM3, and OM4 multimode fiber transceivers but will not achieve the same high bandwidth or distance capabilities. Ensure your connected equipment utilizes OS2 singlemode fiber for optimal performance.

Installation Notes

The LSZH jacket provides a safer alternative to PVC in plenum spaces or areas with strict fire safety regulations, as it emits less toxic smoke when exposed to heat. The Uniboot design requires careful management to ensure the correct polarity is maintained when connecting to equipment. Adhere to TIA-568.3-D and ISO/IEC 11801 standards for proper installation practices. The APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish on the LC connectors minimizes back reflection, crucial for high-bandwidth applications like 100GbE and beyond.
