The AT-FL-TQ5400-OF13-5YR is a five-year software license that activates OpenFlow 1.3 functionality on Allied Telesis TQ5403 and TQ5403E wireless access points. OpenFlow is a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) protocol that shifts traffic-forwarding decisions from the access point itself to a centralized controller — giving network architects programmatic control over wireless traffic flows without manual per-device configuration. This license is the enabling key: without it, the OpenFlow data plane on compatible TQ5400-series hardware remains inactive. It fits deployments where SDN orchestration, centralized policy enforcement, or dynamic traffic steering across wireless infrastructure is a hard requirement — common in enterprise campus networks, research environments, and large-scale managed Wi-Fi rollouts running an OpenFlow-capable controller.
This license is validated for the following Allied Telesis access points only:
The license is not transferable to other TQ-series models (such as TQ4400 or TQ6600 families) and does not apply to Allied Telesis switches or routers. Confirm the exact hardware model number before ordering — the AT-FL-TQ5400-OF13-5YR is model-locked at activation.
Activation is software-based: apply the license key through the Allied Telesis device management interface or AlliedWare Plus CLI on the target TQ5403 or TQ5403E unit. The five-year term begins at activation, not at purchase, so licenses can be held in inventory until the access point is commissioned. An OpenFlow-compatible SDN controller must be reachable on the network before OpenFlow flows can be programmed — the license enables the protocol stack on the AP, but controller connectivity is a separate infrastructure dependency that must be planned in advance.
