OM5 (50/125µm) fiber supports short-wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) and parallel optic applications at 40G and 100G, making this cable a forward-compatible choice for data center interconnects where bandwidth demands are on an upgrade path. The LSZH jacket eliminates halogen off-gassing in fire conditions — a code requirement in plenum corridors, raised-floor environments, and any space with restricted ventilation where toxic fume risk to personnel is regulated.
