Overview

The FW2ERLNSNSNM041 is a Panduit QuickNet™ pre-terminated OM5 wideband multimode fiber assembly — 2-fiber, 1.6mm jacketed, LC duplex on one end and SC duplex on the other, cut to 41 meters (134.5 ft). OM5 wideband multimode (50/125µm) supports short-wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM), which means you can run multiple 25G or 100G lanes over a single fiber pair — the cable type you need if you're building or future-proofing a 40G/100G/400G structured cabling plant without committing to single-mode. This assembly is factory-terminated and tested, so installation is pull-and-plug rather than field-terminate-and-polish, eliminating a common insertion-loss variable in structured cabling runs. The OFNR riser flammability rating keeps it compliant in inter-floor vertical pathways where plenum isn't required but open air returns are present. Meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B — the three standards routinely cited in data center design specifications and audit checklists.

Compatibility

Designed for data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas built around OM5 or backward-compatible OM3/OM4 infrastructure. The LC duplex connector terminates into any LC-compatible transceiver cage, patch panel, or switch port — including 25GBase-SR, 40GBase-SR4 (with fanout), 100GBase-SR4, and SWDM4 optics. The SC duplex end connects to SC-keyed patch panels, media converters, or legacy SC-port equipment still common in telecom rooms and carrier handoffs. OM5 glass is backward compatible with OM3 and OM4 transceivers at their rated distances; deploying this cable into an existing OM4 plant does not break link budgets. Not suitable for OS1/OS2 single-mode optics — the 50/125µm multimode glass will not support single-mode transceivers.
