Description

Panduit FRZ8PYYL011M033 OM4 8-Fiber MPO Pre-Terminated Trunk Cable

Overview

The Panduit FRZ8PYYL011M033 is a 33-meter (108.3 ft) OM4 multimode pre-terminated trunk cable from the Panduit Opti-Core® fiber cabling line, built around an MPO-8 male APC-polished connector. At 8 fibers over OM4 50/125µm glass, this cable delivers the bandwidth headroom needed for 40G and 100G parallel optic applications — pre-terminated and factory-tested, so field technicians deploy and verify in minutes rather than hours. The target environment is structured fiber optic cabling infrastructure in data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas where rapid, repeatable interconnect is the operational priority. Polarity B orientation is specified on the label — confirm your system's polarity scheme before ordering to avoid a re-pull.

Compatibility

Designed for deployment with Panduit Opti-Core® MPO-8 cassette modules, patch panels, and enclosures that accept APC-polished MPO-8 male connectors. Compliant with TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B — compatible with any standards-conformant MPO-8 infrastructure from vendors including Corning, CommScope, and Legrand that support APC polishing and Polarity B assignments. OM4 glass supports 40GBASE-SR4 (150m) and 100GBASE-SR4 (100m) with parallel optic transceivers; at 33 meters this cable operates well within both link-length budgets. Not compatible with MPO-12 or MPO-16 housings without an appropriate breakout module, and the APC polish is not interchangeable with UPC-polished MPO ports without measurable insertion loss penalty.

Installation Notes

Polarity B configuration is fixed at the factory — verify the polarity map of your patching scheme against TIA-568.3-D Polarity B before installation. APC-polished end-faces require APC-compatible adapters; mating to UPC adapters will introduce reflectance and insertion loss violations. The 33-meter length is fixed; no field termination is required or recommended. Handle bend radius per Panduit Opti-Core® guidelines — OM4 fiber is sensitive to tight bends that degrade signal integrity. UL listed.
