Description

Panduit FZ2RLU1U1NNM044 OM4 Fiber Patch Cable

Overview

The Panduit FZ2RLU1U1NNM044 is a 44-meter (144.4 ft) OM4 multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in demanding environments. Its uniboot design simplifies cable management by housing both fibers within a single jacket and connector, reducing clutter and improving airflow in dense racks. This cable is ideal for rapid deployment in data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas where clean, efficient fiber infrastructure is critical for network performance.

Compatibility

This Panduit QuickNet™ cable utilizes LC Duplex connectors, making it compatible with standard LC ports found on network switches, servers, transceivers, and patch panels. The OM4 fiber type is optimized for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) up to 300 meters and 40/100 Gigabit Ethernet (40/100GbE) up to 100 meters, ensuring future-proofing for high-bandwidth applications. It adheres to TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring interoperability within compliant network architectures.

Installation Notes

The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket provides reduced smoke and toxic gas emissions in case of fire, a critical safety consideration for indoor installations, particularly in plenum spaces. The uniboot design requires specific handling to ensure correct polarity (A/B) when connecting to transceivers. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends exceeding its minimum bend radius to maintain signal integrity and prevent damage.
