The Middle Atlantic 818-WH is a non-metallic external elbow fitting designed for the Middle Atlantic 800-series raceway and cord cover systems. It solves a specific routing problem: when a cable run needs to change direction at an outside corner — transitioning from a wall surface onto an adjacent surface — this fitting provides a clean, code-friendly bend without cutting or notching the main raceway body. The 818-WH ships in white to match standard interior trim and painted drywall. TAA compliance makes it a straightforward fit for government facilities, federal projects, and publicly bid contracts requiring domestic-sourcing documentation.
The 818-WH is engineered specifically for the Middle Atlantic 800-series non-metallic raceway system. It functions as an external elbow — use it at outside corners where the raceway changes direction along the exterior of a wall junction. Verify your base raceway is the 800-series (not the 500-, 700-, or 1500-series) before ordering; fitting profiles are not interchangeable across series. For inside-corner transitions, a separate inside elbow fitting from the same 800-series accessory family is required. The white finish (WH suffix) pairs with the standard white 800-series raceway body; Middle Atlantic offers color-matched variants for other finish requirements.
This is a snap- or friction-fit surface accessory — no special tooling required beyond standard hand tools used during raceway installation. Mount the base raceway channel first, route cabling, then seat the elbow fitting at the corner junction. Ensure the mating raceway sections are cleanly cut and deburred at the corner for a flush fit. TAA-compliant status should be documented at time of purchase for any project requiring Buy American or Trade Agreements Act certification.
