Overview
The Pelco E1-COR-SW is a software license enabling the VX E1 Core Server to function as a scalable video management and surveillance system. This is the NDAA-compliant distribution — meaning it meets federal procurement requirements for defense and critical infrastructure deployments. Deploy this on a 2 RU or 3 RU rack-mounted server (Intel Xeon E3-1275 v3 or Core i7-4785T processor, up to 32 GB DDR3 ECC RAM, up to 48 TB storage) running Windows 2012 Server or Linux. The license enables video aggregation, recording, playback, and multi-monitor operator workstations across camera networks ranging from 100 to 10,000 devices.
Compatibility
The E1-COR-SW integrates with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera or network video encoder. VideoXpert supports migration paths from Pelco Endura and Digital Sentry systems — you can re-purpose existing hardware and retain current video management infrastructure while upgrading to VideoXpert's fault-tolerant architecture. The software also aggregates legacy NSM5200 systems and compatible third-party devices via standardized protocols. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports (1000Base-T) provide network redundancy and multi-network isolation. VGA and HDMI display outputs support 6 monitors per workstation, each independently CPU-driven, displaying up to 16 HD streams per monitor.
Installation Notes
This is a software license only — hardware procurement and operating system installation are separate. Verify your target server meets processor, RAM, and storage minimums before license activation. Windows 2012 Server or Linux kernel compatibility is required. Two Gigabit Ethernet connections should be provisioned for network redundancy. Audio I/O uses 3.5 mm stereo jacks (2x connectors); verify cabling for any required audio-capable cameras or encoder outputs. Power consumption of the server itself is approximately 65 W internal supply — plan accordingly within your rack PDU capacity. Browser-based administration requires network connectivity from your workstations to the server.
