The Panduit CC688OR is a Category 6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) MINI-COM connector designed for terminating network cables within patch panels or surface mount boxes. Its orange color provides clear visual identification for network segments, crucial in complex structured cabling deployments where cable management and segregation are paramount. This connector ensures reliable data transmission for 1000BASE-T Ethernet networks.
This connector is designed for use with Panduit's MINI-COM system, compatible with all Panduit faceplates, surface mount boxes, and patch panels that accept MINI-COM modules. It supports standard Category 6 UTP cabling infrastructure, suitable for use with most network switches and routers supporting Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and lower speeds.
Termination requires a standard punch-down tool (e.g., Panduit CT-300 or equivalent) to seat the conductors into the IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) terminals. Ensure proper wire pairing according to T568A or T568B standards. A minimum bend radius of 4 times the cable diameter should be maintained post-termination to prevent signal degradation.
