Overview

The Middle Atlantic LP-42211 is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit delivering 208V AC at 20A through eight IEC C13 receptacles — purpose-built for equipment racks where standard 120V power is not available and higher-density 208V circuits are the norm. The LP-42211 terminates with an L6-20P twist-lock plug, which means it lands directly on any standard 208V/20A L6-20 receptacle in a raised-floor data center, server room, or AV equipment room without adapters or rewiring. The 9.84 ft (3 m) cord gives enough reach from a floor or wall-mounted PDU tap to a mid-rack or top-of-rack mounting position. At 1.7 in tall, it consumes exactly 1U — no rack space wasted. Black and silver finish integrates cleanly into mixed-vendor rack environments.

Compatibility

The C13 receptacles accept any IEC C14 power inlet — the connector found on the majority of 1U and 2U network switches, rack servers, NVRs, and IP camera encoders (including common 1U security appliances from Axis, Genetec, Milestone, and comparable NVR platforms). The L6-20P plug mates with L6-20R receptacles on 208V branch circuit outlets and on the input sockets of higher-capacity rack PDUs that provide L6-20R passthrough taps. This unit is TAA compliant, making it eligible for federal, state, and municipal government procurement projects subject to Trade Agreements Act requirements. It is not compatible with standard 120V NEMA 5-15R or 5-20R circuits — confirm 208V availability at the rack before ordering.

Installation Notes

Mount horizontally in any standard 19-inch EIA rack using the integrated rack ears — no additional brackets required. The 17.2 in (43.7 cm) width and 5.2 in (13.2 cm) depth fit standard rack shelves without clearance issues. Route the 9.84 ft cord to the nearest L6-20R receptacle before dressing cable management; the fixed cord is not field-replaceable. Verify the upstream circuit breaker is rated for 20A at 208V and that total connected load does not exceed 16A continuous (80% of rated ampacity per NEC 210.19) across all eight outlets.
