Description

Lifesafety Power FPO250/250/250-3C83D8PE12M 250W Power Supply with Relay Lock Control

Overview

The FPO250/250/250-3C83D8PE12M is a 250W dual-voltage power supply designed to centralize power distribution and relay control for door locks, strike plates, and auxiliary load management in access control systems. It provides 20A at 12VDC or 10A at 24VDC output, addressing the typical power budget for mid-scale deployments where multiple electronically controlled doors require synchronized failsafe or failsecure operation.

Key Features

  • 8 Relay Lock Control Outputs: Each output fused independently at 3A, selectable per output for FAI (Fail As Is), failsafe (energize to unlock), or failsecure (de-energize to lock) logic. This flexibility allows a single power supply to manage mixed door strategies without additional controllers.
  • 8 DC Auxiliary Outputs: Class 2 power-limited at 2.5A per output, each assignable to Bus1 or Bus2. Supports low-current loads such as request-to-exit buttons, door sensors, and status indicators.
  • Dual Voltage Output: 12VDC or 24VDC selectable at the supply, eliminating the need for separate units in mixed-voltage sites.

Compatibility & Integration

Integrates with access control panels, card readers, and electric strike systems rated for 12VDC or 24VDC operation. Verify your door hardware and controller voltage specification before ordering. The relay outputs are designed for low-voltage DC switching; do not connect AC or high-current loads directly to relay contacts.

Installation Considerations

Requires 120VAC or 240VAC input (confirm local supply availability). Space for terminal block wiring; standard DIN-rail or wall mounting. Fused outputs provide per-circuit protection — replace 3A fuses if individual relay outputs short or exceed load. Consult site electrical plans for circuit breaker sizing on the input side.

Specifications
Input Voltage: 120VAC or 240VAC
