Description

Middle Atlantic RH-4 4RU Rear Hanging Bracket

Overview

The Middle Atlantic RH-4 is a rear hanging bracket designed to mount accessories inside rack enclosures at the rear rail, freeing up front rack space for active equipment. It occupies 4 rack units (4RU) of vertical space with a 7-inch usable mounting height — enough to seat a patch panel, PDU, or cable management bar at the back of the enclosure without consuming front panel real estate. Two mounting points provide a stable, non-slip connection to the rear verticals. The black finish matches standard rack hardware. At 0.6 lbs shipping weight, it adds negligible load to the enclosure structure.

Compatibility

Designed for use with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures that include rear vertical rails with standard EIA 19-inch spacing. Compatible with Middle Atlantic's RK, BGR, and ERK series enclosures that provide rear rail access. Verify your enclosure has rear vertical rail channels before ordering — open-frame two-post racks do not provide the rear mounting surface this bracket requires. Fits within standard rack accessories ecosystems using EIA-310 rail spacing. Not designed for two-post open-frame or wall-mount swing-out racks.

Installation Notes

Installs at the rear verticals of a compatible four-post enclosure. The 10.5-inch total height spans 4RU on the rail; the 7-inch usable height is the clear working space between the mounting flanges. With only 2 mounting points, confirm the rear rail pitch matches before installation — mismatched rail spacing will prevent flush seating. Package includes 1 bracket unit. No tools are specified in the product documentation beyond standard rack hardware installation practice.
