Overview

The Black Box EMD2000PE-R-P is a KVM-over-IP receiver designed to extend DVI-D video, USB 2.0 peripherals, and audio signals over a standard IP network. This unit is intended for deployments where remote access to a workstation or server is required, enabling a single-monitor setup with high-fidelity signal transmission. Its PoE capability simplifies installation by allowing power delivery over the Ethernet cable, reducing the need for local power outlets. Compatibility

This receiver is compatible with the Black Box EMD2000 series transmitters. It supports DVI-D single-link video up to 1920x1200 resolution at 60Hz, USB 2.0 devices, and analog audio. It is designed to operate within a standard IP network infrastructure, requiring a transmitter unit at the source end and appropriate network switches.

Installation Notes

The EMD2000PE-R-P supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) 802.3af, allowing it to be powered directly from a PoE-enabled network switch, simplifying cabling. Ensure the network switch provides sufficient power budget for the device. For optimal performance, a dedicated network segment or VLAN is recommended to prevent latency and packet loss, especially when transmitting high-resolution video and multiple USB devices simultaneously.
