Overview

The HPE P48403-B21 is a hardware enable kit that provisions NS204i-U boot drive capability on the HPE ProLiant server ML350 Gen11 platform. When a server-based NVR or storage node ships without the NS204i-U option pre-configured, this kit provides the mechanical and electrical components needed to activate that boot path — keeping the primary drive bays free for data workloads rather than consuming a slot for the OS volume. Compatibility

Designed specifically for the HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 tower server. The NS204i-U is HPE's M.2-based boot controller option for Gen11 ML-series platforms; this enable kit is the prerequisite hardware when that controller is added post-factory or installed as a separate option order. It is not compatible with ML350 Gen10 or earlier generations, nor with DL-series rack platforms. Installation Notes

Installation is chassis-internal. The kit installs inside the ML350 Gen11 tower enclosure and should be seated before the NS204i-U controller is populated.
