Overview
The LPR-VS-CP-API is a hosted license plate recognition (LPR) client portal account provisioned as an API module for Pelco's VideoXpert VMS. It integrates ALFOS LPR software — vehicle plate capture, registration list management, and automated alerts — without requiring on-premises hardware. Deploy this when you need to monitor vehicle ingress/egress (parking facilities, secure perimeters, gate access) across TCP/IP camera networks without building a separate recognition system.
Compatibility
The LPR-VS-CP-API integrates with VideoXpert™ VMS as a licensed option module. It operates with any IP camera on your TCP/IP network that meets minimum resolution and lighting requirements (typically 800x600 or higher, adequate illumination or IR support for moving vehicle capture). Pairs with Pelco IP camera lines deployed in gate-monitoring, lot-surveillance, and perimeter-access scenarios. Requires VideoXpert infrastructure already in place; does not function as a standalone application.
Installation Notes
As a hosted portal account with API access, no physical installation is required. License activation ties to your VideoXpert system registration and user/administrator credentials. Configuration occurs entirely within the VideoXpert OPS Center interface — define vehicle registration lists (suspicious, authorized, gate-open), set up monitoring screen alerts, and configure filters for recorded searches (date, location, plate format). ALFOS LPR is natively optimized for Brazil and Mercosur plate formats; verify plate character recognition accuracy with your camera positioning and illumination before production rollout.
