Overview

The FMR-2027D8WS is a 20RU, 27-inch-deep freestanding rack from Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic Forum series, finished in Designer White HPL. It is purpose-built as a side rack for collaboration suites and AV-over-IP installations where rack equipment must sit adjacent to a lectern or presentation surface. The 20 RU of usable space with 21.4 inches of usable depth accommodates shallow to mid-depth AV and network video recorders, managed switches, and signal distribution hardware without protruding into room circulation. The solid door (D8 designation) keeps equipment concealed in client-facing spaces. TAA compliance makes it eligible for federal and government-contract installations. At 300 lbs weight capacity, it handles fully loaded AV racks without frame deflection concerns.

Compatibility

Designed for use within the Middle Atlantic Forum Collaboration Suite ecosystem. The forward rackrail configuration accepts standard 19-inch EIA rack equipment — including Middle Atlantic's own accessory rail sets, fan panels, and drawer units. The Forward Compatible designation means it accepts current and next-generation Forum series accessories without frame replacement. Two 4.5-inch fan openings (top panel) are sized for Middle Atlantic fan trays in the Forum accessory line. Monitor mounting support is built in, compatible with Forum-series monitor mounts. The 25mm × 150mm swing handles integrate with Forum lectern systems for consistent handling across the suite footprint. Not designed for outdoor or high-humidity environments — this is an interior installation enclosure.
