Fluid mounting is the professional technique for eliminating Newton's rings and reducing grain visibility when digitizing large-format film — particularly medium and large format negatives and transparencies where direct glass contact creates interference patterns that degrade scan quality. If you're running a high-volume film scanning operation or archival digitization workflow on a V800 or V850 Pro and are seeing ring artifacts or need to extract maximum detail from dense film stocks, this is the accessory that addresses that specific problem.

Compatibility

Designed exclusively for the following Epson flatbed scanner models:

  • Epson Perfection V800 Photo
  • Epson Perfection V850 Pro

This kit is not compatible with any other Epson scanner family, including the V600, V700, or V750 Pro. The fluid mount system interfaces with the V800/V850 Pro's dedicated film holders and optical path geometry — substituting it on any other platform is not supported and will not produce correct results.
