Description

ELO Touch E586981 EMV Cradle for Ingenico RP457C

Overview

The ELO Touch E586981 is a dedicated EMV cradle designed to integrate Ingenico RP457C payment terminals into point-of-sale and retail environments. This cradle supports audio jack, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity — three independent data paths that let you choose the integration method that fits your POS network architecture. The E586981 addresses the physical mounting and power-delivery challenge inherent in securing a mobile payment device to a counter or fixed terminal station while maintaining reliable comms back to your transaction processor.

Compatibility

This cradle is built specifically for the Ingenico RP457C payment terminal. Verify device firmware version and connector type before ordering — EMV cradles are device-specific and not interchangeable across Ingenico model families. The three connectivity options (audio jack, Bluetooth, USB) mean you can deploy the E586981 in legacy serial-based POS systems, modern Bluetooth-capable registers, or hardwired USB environments without requiring a separate adapter.

Installation Notes

Mount the cradle to a flat counter surface or fixed bracket using the provided hardware. Ensure the audio jack, Bluetooth antenna, and USB port on the RP457C remain unobstructed once seated. If using audio-jack mode, verify your POS terminal has an available 3.5mm jack port and that cable length (typically 6–10 feet) reaches from cradle to POS without strain loops. For Bluetooth deployments, confirm your POS system supports RP457C pairing and has Bluetooth 4.0 or later. USB connections require a powered hub or direct POS USB port; passive USB hubs may not supply sufficient current. Test device seating and removal several times during installation to confirm the cradle grip is secure without damaging the RP457C connector.
