Overview
The DVCOMMIS-1DAY is an on-site installation commissioner service for ACTi DV Series surveillance deployments. This service handles field verification, system commissioning, and handover documentation during initial deployment — reducing post-install troubleshooting and ensuring the system meets design specifications before the integrator steps back. Use this when a DV Series installation spans multiple sites, requires calibration of edge analytics, or involves integration with existing access control or VMS infrastructure where visual verification on-site is faster than remote diagnostics.
Compatibility
The DVCOMMIS-1DAY service is designed for ACTi DV Series camera and NVR deployments. It works with any DV Series camera model and recorder configuration, including varifocal and fixed-lens variants, as well as systems integrated with third-party VMS platforms via ONVIF. The service covers field setup, firmware verification, network configuration validation, and functional testing of recording, playback, and motion detection prior to production handoff.
Installation Notes
This is a service engagement scheduled for a single calendar day on-site. Coordinate scheduling at least two weeks in advance to align with project timelines. The commissioner will require network access to the installation LAN, administrative credentials for the NVR and any connected VMS, and a brief pre-visit call to confirm camera count, lens types, and any custom analytics rules. Bring a laptop or tablet for remote management during the site visit to verify firmware versions and run diagnostic tests. The commissioner does not perform physical construction, cabling, or PoE infrastructure work — assume all cameras and recorders are mounted, powered, and networked before arrival.
