Description

Middle Atlantic DTB-2-2A 2U Angled Data Bracket Insert

Overview

The Middle Atlantic DTB-2-2A is a 2U data bracket with angled insert, designed to provide a structured mounting point for data ports, keystone jacks, or cable management within Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and furniture systems. The angled faceplate orientation keeps patch cables routed cleanly away from vertical cable managers — a practical detail in high-density installs where straight-face blanks create cable snagging and poor airflow. The DTB-2-2A occupies 2U of rack space and accommodates two angled insert positions, giving integrators a flexible option for locating data connections at a specific rack height without dedicating a full patch panel slot.

Compatibility

The DTB-2-2A is engineered for use within Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and open-frame racks, including the BGR series gangable racks, ERK and ERK-SL equipment racks, WM and WMSA wall-mount enclosures, and compatible Middle Atlantic furniture systems. The bracket follows standard EIA-310 19-inch rack mounting, so it will physically mount in any compliant 19-inch rack — however, the angled insert geometry is optimized for Middle Atlantic's internal cable management accessories. When planning a structured cable management layout, pair this bracket with compatible horizontal and vertical cable managers from the same product family to maintain consistent routing paths throughout the enclosure. Confirm exact insert compatibility with Middle Atlantic's current accessory matrix before ordering, as insert styles vary across product generations.

Installation Notes

Mount using standard cage nuts or clip nuts appropriate for your rack's rail type. The angled insert face positions patch connections at an offset angle to reduce cable stress at the termination point — seat inserts fully before torquing rail screws to avoid faceplate misalignment. For rack accessory planning in AV/security integrations, position this bracket adjacent to the equipment it serves to minimize patch cable run length inside the enclosure.
