Overview
The Panduit PUFR6X04BU-UG is a 1000-foot spool of Category 6A U/FTP bulk copper cable designed for data network installations requiring robust performance and compliance with riser (CMR) flammability standards. This cable features 23 AWG solid HDPE conductors, individually shielded pairs with a metallic foil shield, and a low-flame-retardant PVC jacket, making it suitable for horizontal cabling runs in commercial buildings where plenum-rated cable is not required.
Compatibility
This cable is designed to support Category 6A network standards, ensuring compatibility with 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) and other high-speed data applications. It is suitable for use with standard RJ45 connectors and patch panels designed for 23 AWG Cat6A U/FTP cable. It integrates with various network infrastructure components supporting the TIA-568-C.2 standard.
Installation Notes
The cable's riser (CMR) rating means it can be installed in non-plenum spaces, such as vertical shafts between floors, but not in air-handling plenums. Each pair is individually shielded (U/FTP) to mitigate crosstalk and external interference, requiring proper termination techniques to maintain signal integrity. The 1000-foot length is supplied on a reel for manageable deployment.
