Overview

The Panduit PUP6004VL-WLP is a Cat 6 U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) bulk copper cable designed for high-speed data transmission in plenum spaces. Constructed with 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors and FEP/polyolefin insulation, this cable supports up to 250 MHz bandwidth, making it suitable for 1000BASE-T and even 10GBASE-T up to 55 meters. Its violet, flame-retardant PVC jacket meets CMP-LP (Plenum Low-Profile) fire ratings, ensuring compliance with NEC Article 800 and NFPA 262 standards for installation in air-handling spaces. This cable is packaged in a 1000 ft (305m) easy payout carton for efficient deployment.

Compatibility

This cable is engineered to perform within the Panduit TX6000™ Platform, ensuring seamless integration with other Panduit copper systems components. It supports standard Ethernet applications including 1000BASE-T, and is rated for 10GBASE-T up to 55 meters. It also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE+, and PoE++) standards, delivering reliable power and data to connected devices without requiring separate power cabling for each endpoint.

Installation Notes

The cable features a cross divider to maintain pair separation and minimize crosstalk. It has a maximum pulling tension of 110 N (25 lbf) and a minimum bend radius of 4 times the cable outer diameter (approximately 1.25 inches or 32mm) to prevent damage during installation. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
