Overview
The Middle Atlantic BB-40 is a 40 rack unit (RU) copper bus bar designed for distributing power within an enclosure. Its 2-inch width and 70-inch height allow it to efficiently occupy vertical space in standard racks, providing a solid copper conductor path for up to 40 RU of equipment. The copper finish ensures good conductivity and durability for fixed power distribution needs in AV or IT installations.
Compatibility
This bus bar is designed for integration into standard 19-inch wide equipment racks. It is intended for fixed power distribution where direct wiring or tap-offs are required for multiple devices spanning 40 rack units. It is not compatible with rack-mount PDUs or other modular power distribution units that utilize different connection methods.
Installation Notes
The BB-40 bus bar is designed for permanent installation. Mounting typically involves securing it to the vertical support members of a 19-inch rack. The 0.13-inch depth ensures minimal intrusion into the rack space. Ensure proper torque is applied to any connections made to the bus bar to maintain electrical integrity. The copper material offers excellent conductivity for power distribution.
