Description

Code Blue 41906 Motion Sensing PIR Area Light

Overview

The Code Blue 41906 is a PoE-powered motion sensing PIR area light engineered for outdoor perimeter and security surveillance deployments. IP68 sealing means the fixture handles direct rainfall and wet environments without water ingress — a critical requirement for persistent outdoor mounting where lighting supports video capture quality and perimeter detection. The integrated PIR motion sensor activates illumination only when movement is detected, reducing false triggers and unnecessary operational burden on power infrastructure compared to always-on fixtures.

Compatibility

The 41906 integrates with standard PoE infrastructure using 802.3af power delivery, making it suitable for connection to any PoE-capable network switch or injector. No separate power supply or control relay is required — power and control flow through a single Ethernet cable. Compatible with wall-mounted and pole-mounted outdoor surveillance installations where motion-activated area lighting supplements fixed camera deployments or improves low-light video performance on adjacent security systems.

Installation Notes

Mount the fixture to vertical surfaces (walls, poles) using corrosion-resistant hardware. Ensure PoE switch or injector can deliver 802.3af power (minimum 13W allocation per port). Position the PIR sensor to face the coverage area with minimal thermal interference from heating surfaces or direct sun reflection, as these can reduce motion detection accuracy. Verify Ethernet cable is rated for outdoor UV exposure and outdoor temperature extremes in your climate zone.
