Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX15MRD is a 15-meter Cat 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-speed data networks and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. Its 24 AWG solid copper conductors and foil tape shielding limit alien crosstalk, ensuring reliable 10 Gb/s transmission. The tangle-free snagless latch design simplifies installation and maintenance by preventing cable snags during connection and disconnection, crucial for environments requiring frequent moves, adds, or changes. This cord is pre-installed with a RapidID barcode for streamlined asset tracking and port mapping within compatible systems.

Compatibility

This Cat 6A patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, making it suitable for 10GBASE-T Ethernet deployments. It supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE), 802.3at (PoE+), and 802.3bt Type 3 & Type 4 (PoE++) standards, delivering up to 90W of power. This makes it compatible with high-power devices like wireless access points, PTZ cameras, and other network-powered equipment. It is wired to T568A and T568B schemes, offering broad compatibility with standard network infrastructure.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a CM (Communications) rated jacket, this cable is suitable for in-wall or riser applications where plenum-rated cable is not required. The solid copper conductors require careful handling to avoid damage during termination, though this cord comes pre-terminated. The snagless latch design protects the connector tabs during insertion and removal, reducing the risk of breakage. The cable diameter is 6.4 mm (0.250 in).
