Description

Middle Atlantic CASTERS4SWL 4-Inch Swivel Caster with Lock

Overview

The Middle Atlantic CASTERS4SWL is a 4-inch swivel caster with locking mechanism, designed for the Forum collaboration suite lectern series. If you're deploying Forum lecterns in presentation spaces, training rooms, or conference environments where the furniture needs to move between setups but stay fixed during use, these casters provide the mobility-plus-lock combination that prevents unintended movement once positioned. The swivel design allows full 360° repositioning, while the integrated lock engages to hold the lectern stationary — eliminating the drift that plagues unlocked casters on smooth flooring. Finished in black to match the Forum lectern aesthetics.

Compatibility

The CASTERS4SWL is specified for the Middle Atlantic Forum collaboration suite lectern platform. Verify your Forum lectern model accepts stem-mount casters and that the existing base hardware matches the stem diameter before ordering — Middle Atlantic's AV furniture accessories line includes multiple caster configurations for different base series, so confirm the Forum designation matches your specific unit. Not interchangeable with rack or enclosure caster kits from other Middle Atlantic series.

Installation Notes

Stem-mount installation: insert the caster stem into the pre-drilled base socket on the Forum lectern leg and secure per the base assembly specification. Locking engagement is typically a foot-operated lever on the caster wheel — confirm the lock actuates fully and holds under lateral load before considering the unit field-ready. Ships at 5 lbs (2.3 kg) per unit; factor total weight when ordering a full set for a four-legged lectern. RoHS-compliant (TASCA designation) and REACH-assessed — relevant for facilities with environmental procurement requirements.
