Description

Middle Atlantic TBCRCAT6 CAT6A Table Box Cable Retractor

Overview

The TBCRCAT6 is a CAT6A cable retractor module designed for integration into Middle Atlantic table box systems. It delivers a managed, retractable network connection at the tabletop level — the right solution for conference rooms, training spaces, and AV presentation environments where a dangling CAT6A patch lead is a trip hazard and a cable tray is overkill. The retractor keeps the cable under tension when not in use, extending on demand and retracting cleanly when the session ends, eliminating cable clutter on the work surface without requiring any manual coiling or stowage by the end user.

Compatibility

The TBCRCAT6 is designed for Middle Atlantic table box and cable retractor product families. Verify the specific table box chassis and module bay dimensions against your installation before ordering — Middle Atlantic table boxes vary by insert slot configuration and not all retractor modules are interchangeable across generations. CAT6A termination supports 10GbE at distances up to 100m (328 ft), making it suitable for high-density AV-over-IP environments running NDI, AES67, or DANTE where bandwidth headroom matters. Note that TAA compliance is not available on this SKU, which is a consideration for federal procurement or GSA-schedule deployments.

Installation Notes

Install into the compatible Middle Atlantic table box chassis per the chassis-specific guide. CAT6A wiring requires proper termination technique — maintain pair twist as close to the termination point as possible and observe the cable's minimum bend radius to preserve 10GbE performance. The retractor mechanism is under spring tension; do not force the retract cycle against an obstruction. Verify the retractor cable length matches the required reach from the table surface to the nearest switch port or wall plate before installation.
