The AR3100B2X617 is the NetShelter SX Gen 2 42U freestanding open rack — a 600mm-wide, 1070mm-deep enclosure built for dense server, networking, and storage deployments where side access is preferred over a closed cabinet. At 1991mm tall with a 19-inch mounting rail configuration, it accommodates standard 1U through 7U equipment across the full 42U span. The open (sideless) design is deliberate: it maximises airflow in hot-aisle/cold-aisle arrangements and gives technicians unrestricted lateral access for cable management, power distribution wiring, and equipment swaps without pulling the unit from the row.
