Altronix T2M7CK3 Power Distribution Module

Overview

The Altronix T2M7CK3 is a fused power distribution module designed to provide reliable 12VDC power for surveillance systems, including cameras and access control devices. It offers a primary 6A continuous output and a 1A unswitched auxiliary output, ensuring critical equipment remains operational during AC power outages via its integrated 7AH battery backup. This unit is ideal for installations requiring a stable, conditioned power source with failover capabilities, such as in commercial security deployments or small-scale automation systems. The T2M7CK3 model specifically addresses the need for fused outputs to protect individual devices.

Compatibility

This power distribution module is designed to power a wide range of 12VDC security and automation devices. It is compatible with standard sealed lead acid or gel type batteries up to 12VDC/7AH. The AC fail and battery fail outputs are Form “C” contacts, allowing integration with monitoring systems or VMS platforms that can interpret these signals for event logging or alerts. It is suitable for use with most 12VDC cameras, access control panels, and other low-voltage security peripherals that draw up to 6A total from the main output.

Installation Notes

The enclosure dimensions are 27.25” x 21.5” x 6.5”. The unit operates within a temperature range of 0ºC to 49ºC (32ºF to 120ºF). It requires a 120VAC, 60Hz input and draws a maximum of 4.5A. The input fuse is rated at 6.3A/250V. Low DC power shutdown is integrated to protect the battery from over-discharge, cutting off DC output terminals if battery voltage drops below 70-75% of nominal. The unit generates approximately 145 BTU/Hr. of heat.
